Cupping Therapy

Cupping is a treatment method, using rubber cups. The cups are applied to the skin and create a partial vacuum to the skin. The cups suction to the skin/tissue lifts the tissue into the cup, by doing this is creates space in the tissues, which allows more movement of blood and lymph in local areas.
This technique, encourages blood flow, relaxes tissue, and can help to loosen tightness between the muscles, fascia and skin.  The cups can either be applied and left on the skin or moved around the skin, with massage motions.
Cupping is a great modality to add to a massage treatment, if you are suffering from localized pain, stiffness, swelling, and tightness of the tissues. It is also good for clients who are looking to increase blood and lymph flow in areas where movement may be stagnant.
Please avoid any pain killers and anti-inflammatory medications prior to all massage therapy treatments.

Contraindications: fever, ulcerated sores, sever abdominal cramping, acute injury, open wounds, abdominal treatment on pregnant ladies, and clients who have serious heart diseases should all avoid cupping therapy. Sever varicose veins and  thin skin will be treated with lighter care, and judged based on each clients condition.

Warm bamboo massage, is fantastic for those clients who are looking for a deeper massage, and is great for sports enthusiasts who may carry extra tension in their back and leg muscles.
